Crews respond to house fire in Moline

MOLINE, Illinois (KWQC) - Five people are out of their home and getting help from Red Cross after a fire Thursday afternoon on 15th Street in Moline.

Firefighters responded to the home at 841 15th Street just before 4 p.m.

Damage tot he building, which housed several residents, is estimated to be about $65,000.

The Moline Fire Department says the structure is “deemed uninhabitable.”

A portion of 15th Street was closed off Thursday afternoon as firefighters put out the fire.

Officials confirmed with TV6 at the scene that no one was injured.

The Moline Fire Department Fire Prevention and Investigations Department along with the Illinois State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the cause of the fire.

Multiple departments responded to the fire, including the Moline Fire Department, Moline Second Alarmers, Rock Island Arsenal Fire Department, Rock Island Fire Department, East Moline Fire Department and Mid-America Energy.
