DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A FIRST ALERT DAY is in effect through noon Saturday for blowing snow, strong winds creating near blizzard conditions and dangerously cold temperatures. Wind chills Saturday morning will range from -20 to -30 and frostbite could occur within 20 minutes if you’re not properly covered while outside.
Your Christmas Eve forecast will feature frigid temperatures and blowing snow through much of the day, with dangerous wind chills. Temperatures will be closer to 10° with a gusty west/northwest wind at 20-25 mph gusting to 35. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY continues until noon for blowing snow.
WIND CHILL ADVISORIES/WARNINGS continue until noon for our southern counties.
